but for的3种地道英语用法

1. but for...若不是因为……./如果没有…….

此时是错综条件句的虚拟从句，要根据从句的时态，判断主句相对应的时态。过去某件事的发生与否，对现在造成的影响，所以要用现在完成时，所以是否需要用虚拟语气，根据实际情况判断，只有在若but for表示if it were not for或if it had not been for这样的意思（即表示“若不是”“要不是”），它一定要与虚拟语气连用：

But for my help, she would not have passed the exam. 若不是我的帮助，她就不会通过考试。
